バクテリオファージを活用したファージセラピーの社会実装を目指した研究を数多く行う。
また、薬剤耐性菌問題への取り組みやバクテリオファージの動物医療への応用なども行っている。
バクテリオファージを初めて聞いたという人やバクテリオファージに興味があって将来研究者になることを目指している中学生などに優しく教えてくれるとても気さくで優しい先生。
